Tom was one of the original band members a way back when we were called Stirling Silver Trio. We expanded to five members over the years, but still retained the original three: Tom, Mark and Larry. We changed our name to Menno Valley Sound because it was getting to be too hard to explain why five guys were called a trio.

About 2-1/2 years ago, Tom only came to practice every now and then. We just assumed it was because he needed to devote more time to his business, T. Musselman Excavating.

It wasn't until some time later that we found out that Tom was having some health issues, but wasn't certain as to what the problem was. After a number of months and numerous tests, Tom and Mary found out that Tom was suffering from ALS or more commonly know as Lou Gehrig's disease. You can find more out about this disease by going to ALS Society of Ontario website.

Over the years, Tom was a part of a number of fundraisers that Menno Valley Sound had been involved in so we thought as a group, we wanted to do something for him and Mary and family.

Not knowing what the future is going to bring, we felt it would be nice to see if we could raise some substantial money for their future needs.

Just a little note, since Tom left the group we have added two more members. Sam Fackoury who plays the drums and Marcia Shantz on vocals.

Please join us for an evening of song and story and if you are able we would appreciate any gift amount you can give.

Thank you,

Charles Kruger, Sam Fackoury, Mark Reusser, Brad Simpson, Marcia and Larry Shantz
